Keeping Students on Track to Graduation:
The Role of Parents, Students, and Educators

Equitable teaching and learning environments allow students the opportunity to do their individual best. This academy will provide educators, parents, and students with resources and strategies to ensure all students graduate college and/or are career ready. Strong attendance, minimal behavior incidents and successful course performance are key strategies to student success from preschool to high school. Come engage in conversation with other partners in education and gain knowledge around how to stay engaged and involved throughout a student’s educational journey. The academy will emphasize the importance of partnerships, and the power educators, parents, and students have in the school community.

2:15 pm – 3:15 pm “My Journey to College” Panel

The path for students from preschool to college can be a long and difficult journey that might have many road blocks, detours and dead-ends without the right advice, support, and know-how. Listen to our panel of teachers, parents, and students share their personal experiences and advice on how to plan a successful trip through the educational system that our students must navigate from preschool, through elementary school, middle school, high school, and on to college. There will also be a short question and answer session at the end of the panel’s presentation.
